How Much Does v0 Cost?

The v0 pricing page shows four plans: Free, Plus, Business and Enterprise. The documentation also lists a fifth, Premium, that new users cannot join.
PlanPriceCredits and limits the vendor lists
Free$0 a month7 messages a day, per the pricing page. New users get a one-time $5 credit. Includes deploying to Vercel, Design Mode and GitHub sync
Premium$20 a month$20 of credits a month. Being sunsetted and not open to new users
Plus$30 per user a month$30 of credits a month per user, $2 daily login credits, all models, extra credits can be bought, chats can be shared with a team
Business$100 per user a monthEverything in Plus, $30 of credits a month per user, and training opt-out by default
EnterpriseCustomData never used for training, single sign-on, role-based access, priority access with no queues and support guarantees
Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes, which are calculated from the billing address. The pricing page text shows two figures next to Plus ($30 and $90), without saying which applies; the documentation lists $30. Check the figure shown at checkout before paying.
The pricing page names no annual price, so none is given here.
$30 a month

Plus includes $30 of credits per user each month, plus $2 of daily login credits

Credits are a prepaid balance, and the documentation says generation pauses when the balance is used up.

What Is v0 and How Does It Work?

v0 describes itself as "an AI agent that helps anyone create real code and full-stack apps and agents". Its documentation says you can build anything from landing pages and dashboards to ecommerce stores and AI apps. You type what you want, v0 writes the code and shows a preview, and you can deploy "with one click" to infrastructure powered by Vercel.
The docs add that you can deploy straight to production or open a pull request for review. A Vercel account gives access to v0, so no separate sign-up is needed. For the full set of features such as environment variables and previews, a GitHub repository should connect to a Vercel project, though code can also be exported and deployed elsewhere.
In practice v0 sits close to Lovable and Bolt.new: you describe a page in plain English and get a working result. The difference on the pricing page is the unit. v0 shows dollars of credit rather than a count of credits or tokens.

How Do v0 Credits Work?

According to the pricing documentation, credits are a prepaid balance and each generation draws from it. The cost depends on tokens:
  • Input tokens cover your prompt, uploaded files and context v0 adds, such as chat history and source files.
  • Output tokens are what v0 generates.
  • The model matters. Tokens per credit vary by model. Hovering over a model in the selector shows its cost.
Longer prompts and larger outputs use more tokens. The pages give no price for a typical landing page, so none is assumed here.
Rules that matter for budgeting:
  • Daily login credits. Premium, Plus and Business get $2 the first time they use v0 each UTC day. These expire at 00:00 UTC and do not accumulate. Free and Enterprise do not receive them.
  • Monthly credits roll over to the next billing cycle and expire 65 days after they were granted.
  • Purchased credits stay in the balance if a subscription lapses, but an active paid plan is needed to use them. They expire one year after purchase.
  • Shared Credit Pool. On Plus, Business and Enterprise, pooled credits are shared across the team, are used after individual monthly credits and expire one year after purchase.
  • When credits run out, the documentation says "generation pauses". Paid plans can buy more.
ChatGPT Plus and Pro subscribers can connect an account to cover eligible responses from supported OpenAI models. A v0 credit balance is still required, because each request carries a small platform fee and image work uses credits too.

What Does the Free Plan Include?

The pricing page lists Free access to v0, deploying apps to Vercel, visual editing with Design Mode and GitHub sync, with a limit of 7 messages a day. The documentation describes Free as "No cost. For people looking to explore."
The sources also differ slightly on the allowance. The documentation says new users get a one-time $5 credit and that existing Free users keep a $5 monthly allowance, while the pricing page banner reads "$5 in one-time credits for new users". If you are a new user, treat the $5 as a one-time trial.
For a small business, Free is enough to test whether v0 can produce a page you like. It is a thin base for ongoing edits, since a 7-message daily cap ends sessions quickly.

What Can a Small Business Use v0 For?

These are possibilities, not results. v0's documentation lists landing pages, dashboards and full-stack apps. For a local business, that could mean:
  • A landing page for a seasonal offer at a salon or a barbershop.
  • A menu, hours and location page for a café.
  • A class timetable and sign-up page for a fitness studio.
  • An internal tool such as a grooming appointment tracker or a simple stock list.
Anything that collects customer details needs a human check on the form, the privacy notice and where the data goes. For wider ideas on where AI helps a local business, see the complete guide to automating a local business with AI.

What Would It Cost? A Worked Example

This is an assumption using only published prices. A pet groomer wants a one-page site built and revised over two months, and works alone, so one user.
LineAssumptionCost
Free planTry v0 with the $5 one-time credit$0
Plus, one userTwo months at $30$60
Extra creditsNone bought in the base case$0
TotalTwo months on Plus$60
Each month of Plus includes $30 of credits, and unused monthly credits roll over for up to 65 days. The price of extra credits is not stated on the pages opened, so a heavier month cannot be priced here. Whether $30 of credits covers a whole site depends on how many revisions are needed, and the vendor gives no per-page figure.

What Are the Rules and Risks?

From v0's own FAQ and documentation:
  • Who owns the code. The FAQ says "Vercel doesn't own the code generated based on your queries and prompts." It also warns that output may resemble other users' output or third-party intellectual property, may be incomplete or buggy, and that you are responsible for evaluating whether it suits commercial or other purposes.
  • Data use. By default, v0 may use prompts and content as inputs to models and learning systems from third-party providers. Enterprise customers and teams that opted out of model training in Vercel settings are excluded. The FAQ also says customer data from Vercel's platform services is not used to train the models used by v0. Business lists training opt-out by default on the pricing page.
  • Sensitive content. Do not paste customer lists, staff records or private pricing into prompts on a plan with training on.
  • Credit surprises. Long chats cost more because chat history counts as input tokens.
  • Account needed. A Vercel account is required, and the full workflow assumes a GitHub repository.
  • Review. Test forms, links and phone numbers before launch.
This guide did not open Vercel's full terms of service, so licence terms beyond the FAQ wording are not stated.

How Does v0 Compare With Other AI Builders?

Only facts confirmed on each vendor's own page on 7 November 2026 are shown, taken from the guides linked in the last column. Some tools use different units, so the prices are not a like-for-like comparison.
