November 7, 2026·Nataliia Rumiantsewa· 10 min read All posts
Lovable has a Free plan with 5 build credits a day, up to 30 a month, and paid Pro plans that start at $25 a month for 100 credits ($21 a month on annual billing). Higher Pro tiers add credits in steps, from 200 credits at $50 up to 10,000 at $2,250. Business starts at $50 for 100 credits. A credit is the unit Lovable charges for building.

This guide is for owners and marketers of local businesses who want an AI tool that builds a web page from a description. It covers plans, how credits work, what the Free plan cannot do and what a small project might cost. All numbers come from Lovable's own pages, listed in Sources.

How Much Does Lovable Cost?

Lovable's documentation lists four plans. Prices for Pro and Business depend on the monthly credits you choose.
PlanPriceWhat the documentation says
Free$05 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month, daily chat allowance, no rollover, no top-ups
ProFrom $25 a month for 100 creditsSame daily credits, code editing and download, custom domains, design systems, rollover, top-ups, email support
BusinessFrom $50 a month for 100 creditsEverything in Pro plus governance features, single sign-on, role-based access, priority support, unlimited invited publishing
EnterpriseContact salesVolume-based credits, audit logs, SCIM, dedicated support
All plans include unlimited workspace members, Git sync (GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket) and custom connectors, per the same page. Verified students and teachers can get 50% off Pro with 100 credits a month for up to 12 months.

What Are the Pro Tiers?

Pro tiers, in US dollars, as published:
Monthly creditsMonthly billingAnnual billing (monthly equivalent)
100$25$250 ($21)
200$50$500 ($42)
400$100$1,000 ($84)
800$200$2,000 ($167)
2,000$480$4,800 ($400)
10,000$2,250$22,500 ($1,875)
Intermediate tiers also exist at 1,200, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000 and 7,500 credits. Business tiers cost twice as much per credit up to the 800-credit tier.
100 credits = $25

Lovable's lowest Pro tier gives 100 credits a month for $25, on top of the free 5 daily build credits

The documentation says Pro and Business daily build credits have no monthly cap, while Free is capped at 30 a month.

How Do Lovable Credits Work?

Lovable prices by credits, not by projects or seats. The pricing page says plan credits are added monthly and can cover building, Cloud and AI features for apps you build. Default Mode costs vary by task complexity, while Plan Mode costs 1 credit per message. The pages do not state a credit count for a typical page build, so none is assumed here.
Rules that matter for budgeting:
  • Daily grants refresh at 00:00 UTC and expire at the end of each day.
  • Monthly plan credits roll over while the subscription is active. They expire two months after issue on monthly plans, or one month after the annual period ends.
  • Top-up credits on Pro and Business expire 12 months after purchase.
  • Cloud, AI and connector grants (20, 4 and 1 credits a month) do not roll over and are described as temporary and subject to change.
The documentation also gives a legacy conversion rate of $0.25 per credit on Pro and $0.50 on Business, used to convert older balances. It is not a price list for new credits.

What Is Lovable and How Does It Work?

Lovable calls itself "a full-stack AI development platform for building, iterating on, and deploying web applications using natural language." You describe an app and it generates a working project with frontend, backend, database, authentication and integrations, "all backed by editable code". Each project holds its chat, preview, code and version history, and can be published to a live URL.
The documentation says you can "keep full ownership of your code" and sync to Git. The same plan table, however, says code editing and download are Pro features, not Free. Compare with Bolt.new and Replit Agent, which work the same way.

What Does the Free Plan Not Include?

According to the plan table, Free cannot edit or download code, use custom domains or design systems, and publishes "to invited people only, up to 10 people per project". The same table lists the 10-person limit for Pro too, and unlimited invited publishing for Business.
That wording is hard to read for a business that wants a public website. The pages opened do not say plainly whether a public page is possible on Free or Pro, so check the live pricing page and Publish settings before paying. Custom domains, which most businesses want, are listed from Pro.

What Can a Small Business Use It For?

These are possibilities, not results. Lovable's page lists websites and landing pages, internal tools, dashboards and business applications. For a local business that may mean:
  • A landing page for a spring offer at a salon.
  • A menu and opening-hours page for a café.
  • A class timetable page for a studio.
  • A simple internal tool, such as a grooming appointment tracker.
Each page needs a human check on text, prices, forms and any stored customer data. For a different route, see building with Cursor or the AI automation guide.

What Would It Cost? A Worked Example

This is an assumption using only published prices. A pet groomer wants a small site built and tweaked over two months.
LineAssumptionCost
Free planTry it with 5 daily credits$0
Pro, 100 credits, monthly billingTwo months at $25$50
Pro, 200 credits for one monthIf the 100 credits run out$50
Pro, 100 credits, annual billing12 months$250
Two months on the lowest tier is $50. Whether 100 credits cover a site depends on the work, and the pages give no per-page figure. Because monthly credits roll over for two months, unused credits are not lost at once.

What Are the Risks and Limits?

  • Credits run down. Complex requests cost more than simple ones, and Plan Mode messages are 1 credit.
  • Publishing limits. Check who can view a published project on your plan.
  • Expiry. Rollover credits expire after two months on monthly plans.
  • Ownership and export. The page says you keep ownership of your code. Download is a paid-plan feature.
  • Review. Test forms, payments and stored data before launch.
