Replit Agent Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits, Real Cost

November 7, 2026·Nataliia Rumiantsewa· 10 min read All posts
Replit Agent is included in Replit's plans: Starter is free, Core costs $20 a month ($18 a month billed annually) and Pro costs $100 a month ($90 billed annually). Beyond a free allowance, Agent work is charged by effort, so a small edit costs less than a large build, and costs come out of your plan credits. Publishing, databases and storage draw on the same credits.
Prices and features checked on 7 November 2026.
This guide is for owners and marketers of local businesses who want to know what Replit Agent is, what it costs in practice and where the limits are. Numbers come from Replit's own pages, listed in Sources. Where a page did not state a figure, the guide says so.

How Much Does Replit Agent Cost?

Replit's pricing page showed Core, Pro and Enterprise cards; the documentation describes Starter as the free plan.
PlanPriceWhat the vendor pages say
StarterFreeDaily Agent credits capped monthly, lite build only, one free published app that goes down after 30 days, "Made with Replit" badge, no collaboration seats
Core$20 a month, or $18 a month billed annually"For personal projects and simple apps." "$20 towards more powerful models", up to 30 hours of chat on Free Mode, up to 60 projects on Free Mode, unlimited workspaces
Pro$100 a month, or $90 a month billed annually"For commercial and professional builds." Everything in Core plus more Free Mode usage, "$100 credits", up to 15 collaborators, database rollback up to 28 days, premium support
EnterpriseCustomSSO, SCIM and audit logs, advanced privacy controls, single-tenant and private networking options
The documentation adds that Core includes full build, Plan Mode, third-party connectors and removal of the badge. It gives Core 5 collaboration seats and 1 background task, and Pro 15 seats and 10 background tasks. The pricing page also showed higher monthly amounts of $215, $425, $825 and $2,000 without labelling them, so they are not described here.
$20 to $100

Core to Pro: the monthly price of the two paid plans for individuals, with Pro five times Core

Core also lists $20 towards more powerful models and Pro lists $100 credits. Annual billing is $18 and $90 a month respectively.

How Does Effort-Based Pricing Work?

Replit's billing documentation says paid Agent work uses effort-based pricing. Agent creates a checkpoint when it completes work on your request. Simple requests, such as bug fixes or small changes, typically cost less than complex builds. Complex builds are bundled into one checkpoint, which may cost more to reflect the total effort.
Two safeguards are stated. Replit asks for confirmation before a paid action starts, and costs per checkpoint show in the Agent tab. Usage alerts and budget limits are set in Settings, under Billing. Dashboard data can take up to 30 minutes to appear.
Some Agent features call outside AI services such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. Those are billed at the provider's public API rate and deducted from your credits. The pages do not give a dollar cost per checkpoint, so no per-task price is stated here.

What Else Uses Credits?

Credits cover more than Agent. According to the documentation, they also pay for published apps, storage and databases. Publishing is metered in three ways: outbound data transfer, Autoscale compute units and requests. Core includes a 100 GiB outbound transfer allowance.
Databases follow separate rules. Development databases are free and only production databases are billed, on compute time and storage. The production storage limit is 100 GiB on paid plans and 1 GiB on Starter. A database suspends after five idle minutes and counts compute time while it receives requests.
For a small site that rarely changes, the monthly hosting-style cost therefore depends on traffic and database use, not on the plan price alone. Published prices for requests are on Replit's pricing page and were not shown in the text opened.

What Is Replit Agent and How Does It Work?

Replit describes Agent this way: "Tell Replit Agent your app, website, or agent idea, and it builds it through chat." You refine the result by giving feedback. Agent integrates with a built-in Database and user authentication, plus services such as Stripe and OpenAI. It tests the app in a browser, reports issues and fixes them, and for harder requests you can turn on extended thinking and high-power models.
It sits with Lovable and Bolt.new as a chat-to-app builder, unlike editor-style tools such as Windsurf.

What Can a Small Business Use It For?

These are possibilities, not results. The product page lists apps, websites and automations that connect to tools such as Slack or email. For a local business that could mean:
  • A one-page site for a café menu with opening hours.
  • A booking-request or class-enquiry page that collects names and emails.
  • A simple internal tool, such as a rota or stock checklist for a salon.
  • A small client form for a pet groomer that stores answers in the built-in database.
Each of these still needs human checks: forms, payments and stored customer details deserve a careful test. If the goal is just a site, compare with the Cursor route..

What Would It Cost? A Worked Example

This is an assumption using only published prices. A café owner wants a menu page and a booking-request form, built over two months.
LineAssumptionCost
Starter planTry Agent first, publish nothing$0
Core planTwo months at $20$40
Core on annual billing12 months at $18$216
Pro planOne month at $100 if collaborators are needed$100
These are plan prices only. Credits spent on Agent checkpoints, hosting and the database come out of the plan's credits, and the pages opened do not state how many checkpoints a menu page needs. After the credits are gone, credit packs are available according to the billing documentation, with discounts on larger purchases.

What Are the Risks and Limits?

  • Variable cost. Effort-based pricing means the cost of a request is not fixed in advance, though confirmation is requested first.
  • Free app expires. On Starter, the one published app goes down after 30 days and carries a Replit badge.
  • Credits do not last forever. Pro's tiered monthly credits roll over for two months, per the documentation.
  • Payment failures. Continued failures may suspend published apps.
  • Review. Test forms and stored data before real customers use them.
This guide did not open Replit's terms on data use, ownership or export of code, so those are not stated here. Read them before building anything with customer data.
